human Operators or clients with workflows.
Analyst
Analyst
An intermediate Operator—typically a college junior or senior—skilled enough
to work on independent deliverables with guidance from a PM or Associate.
Apprentice
Apprentice
An entry-level Operator, often a college freshman/sophomore or recent high
school grad. Works under guidance and earns experience on smaller project
tasks.
Associate
Associate
A skilled Operator—usually a recent graduate or early-career professional—who
can independently handle project deliverables and collaborate within Guilds.
Benefits
Benefits
Startery Operators unlock perks based on their level, including pay raises,
healthcare access (via Healos), workspace stipends, mentorship, and
profit-sharing.
Bounty
Bounty
A posted opportunity for a small, specific task. Any accepted Operator can
claim and complete it for payment.
Client
Client
A startup, nonprofit, or organization that hires Operators or Guilds for
project work. Clients pay for bundles or tracks and collaborate with Operators
through the platform.
Engagement Manager (EM)
Engagement Manager (EM)
A senior Operator (3–5 years experience) who leads client relationships and
ensures project success by managing strategy and delegating execution to PMs
and Guilds.
Founding Partner / Elder / Partner Emeritus
Founding Partner / Elder / Partner Emeritus
Experienced leaders who’ve helped shape Startery’s mission. Often act as
stewards, advisors, or vision holders across the ecosystem.
Guild
Guild
A small team of Operators working together on a client project. Usually
cross-functional (e.g., Designer + Developer + PM).
Launchpad
Launchpad
The onboarding sprint where applicants are vetted and assessed through real
project simulations. Only the top 1% advance to become paid Operators.
Operator
Operator
A vetted person in the Startery community who takes on paid project work.
Includes all levels, from Apprentice to Partner.

A structured path that defines an Operator’s pay, scope of work, and
leadership opportunities—ranging from Apprentice to Partner.
Partner
Partner
An Operator with 5+ years experience who takes leadership over divisions,
clients, or communities within Startery. Responsible for strategy, growth, and
mentoring others.
Project Manager (PM)
Project Manager (PM)
A mid-level Operator (1–2 years experience) who leads Guilds, oversees
execution, manages deadlines, and ensures client deliverables are met.
Scoping Call
Scoping Call
A session between a client and Startery team (usually PM or EM) to define
project goals, deliverables, timelines, and pricing.
Tracks
Tracks
Startery’s four main skill categories: Strategy, Design, Technology, and
Growth. Operators specialize in one or more tracks for project assignments.
